Librarian loses case against OSU (recommended freshmen read a book professors considered homophobic)
LIBRARIAN LOSES CASES AGAINST OSU

COLUMBUS (AP) -- A federal judge said a former Ohio State University librarian failed to prove the school was hostile to his Christian beliefs.

Scott Savage said he was forced to quit in 2007 because of personal and professional attacks on his character after he recommended freshmen at Ohio State's branch campus in Mansfield read a book that professors considered homophobic.

Two professors filed a sexual-discrimination complaint against Savage, who then filed a federal civil rights lawsuit.

But U.S. District Judge William Bertelsman ruled Monday that Savage didn't prove Ohio State had made his working conditions intolerable.

1. I wonder what constituted the "personal and professional" attacks on his character...
...and how was the school "hostile to his Christian beliefs?"

2. I hate it when there's no good guy. I'd like to think the librarian could recommend any book
he wished--but I sure as hell don't condone homophobia, either.

Wonder what the book was?
