3. It's not me by the way

While I have (present tense - no retractions here) much sympathy for the Blue Dog philosophy as stated (Which is of course for the rationally impaired NOT the same as supporting every action of every member of teh coalition), Lincoln's obstructionism on HCR was not motivated by sound fical policy IMO, and Halter is far from left enough to trouble me at all on the other side of the spectrum.

Given that Lincoln made at least one major error and that Halter shows no sign of being a doctrinaire ideologue who would be harmful, my one criterion is who can win. That's up for debate, but from what I have seen Halter has a small but consistent edge there.

Modern US politics, whether you like it or not, is a team sport. Retaining that seat is my interest.

5. Not all Blue Dogs are horrible people, it's really just what she has done that pisses me off

People really need to judge our elected officials not because of their affliations but what they have done for us in congress. John Kerry has always been a member of the DLC but he's hardly the typical DLC type member.

Lincoln has just been a sucky senator. I hope she doesn't pull a Lieberman because unlike that situation in Connecticut, if Blance goes independant the republicans will win. Lieberman was able to pull it off because the republicans had an extremely weak candidate they were all too happy to abandon. In Arkansas they actually have a strong republican candidate so they would love nothing more than to see Blanche go independant because it would guarentee the republican candidate's win.

14. Lieberman Derangement Syndrome? Lincoln can NOT do this in AR.

There are only 4 states (and CT is one of them) where a primary loser can then run as an independent. AR is not one of them.

At least he wants to end taxbreaks for companies that ship jobs overseas.

Thanks to Lincoln (NAFTA, CAFTA, etc) Arkansas (and many other states) have lots jobs because of bills she has voted for.

15. Sorry. Any Democrat who ran ads bragging about defeating the Democratic agenda needs to be defeated.

I can't imagine a candidate moving further right than Lincoln. She, for all intents and purposes, declared herself a stealth Republican committed to defeating Democratic legislation.
