This is an absolute hoot

Go to the bottom. They have both the Newton Add and the I-Pad add... almost interchangeable

Oh and for the record I was an early adopted for the Newton. I miss it. It was a very good machine, if a little heavy by modern standards.

1. Q: How many Newton users does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: Farm.

2. well, the iPad really works.
Newton wasn't much better than paper and pencil. In some ways, worse.

FWIW, Apple passed Microsoft as being the world's biggest tech company, based on market capitalization. Spooky.

5. I had one, and I used it as an Ereader
mostly used txt files on it. But lord knows I read a lot of stuff on it, with much younger eyes too.

As a personal organizer, that is what it was. Hell it was my first.

And I also wrote, believe it or not, some fiction on it. And what amazed me about it is that the text recognition software did learn, and was better than other later software packets.

6. Wasn't bad at the time. Still have mine, fun to read through it -- it is like a time capsule

of that time in my life. I kept meeting notes and brainstorming ideas on it. Ha ha, I was so cute and naive back then.

The writing recognition was not as bad as it was made out to me on TV and what not. Especially version 2.0 of the OS.

I plan to steal it from him during my next trip up to VA, hehehe.

7. That one for school kids with a keyboard was fun too.
Can't remember the name, but I did a lot of writing on that thing, and then imported into MS word. Light, endless battery, dead silent.
