1. My dad met her while he was serving in WWII

She autographed a dollar bill for him. Amazing woman.

3. A friend of mine was part of the International Student Service and knew her and,

was later in the very first batch of women navy officers - a list approved by ER - and later had tea at the White House with her.

She charged TWICE the usual guest salary, for charity, of course.

She didn't like JFK very much. She saw him as not a true liberal. But you can tell she hated Nixon even more.

Thank you for the link. It certainly gives us an insight into the past history and how she said even her great husband, FDR, was hated in this country! Hatred doesn't die it seems, but right is right!
