Hack Gregory comes out swinging against
Rand Paul. That's what you get for cancelling an appearance - hahahahahahahe.
Gregory is now playing part of Rachel's interview.

1. Thanks for the report
I'm sticking with the crappy Lifetime movie I've already seen. Can't do Hack Gregory on an empty stomach.

3. No this is actually quite good
Cornyn says Paul merely stumbled and will not answer the questions.

4. Goes which way the wind blows, eh?
Rand didn't want to meet the presstitute, and the presstitute whines.

If ever there were two who deserved each other.

5. Putting The Fun In Dysfunctional...
Too bad Stretch didn't invite Jack Conway for the time they were gonna give to Paul. Bottom line was this interview was set up right after Paulbot Jr.'s win. The hope was he'd be some great bright light in the dim bulb rushpublican world and when he started to stick his libertarian foot in his mouth, then he went from "new star" to new freak show.

No surprised they're taking him apart for standing up the corporate media...but I'm still convinced that all these attacks on him will only help him with the great unhinged...including those in Kentucky.

11. I agree - we think that his insane and inane statements and the press ridicule
will make some of these people open their eyes. I fear it will only energize them more. It's not as though logic or facts mean anything to these people.

12. Depends on how liberal play this
I'd like to see a serious discussion on the role of government starting with Obama's graduation address at U Michigan recently.

17. Graduation Addresses Don't Make Good Talking Points...
Edited on Sun May-23-10 09:24 AM by KharmaTrain
It's almost a basic difference now between the right and left. On our side details and nuance matter...we can digest complicated issues and sort out the meat from the bone. They live on absolutes, soundbites and simple solutions to every problem. Thus when those of us try to discuss illegal immigration and its many elements, it gets "boring" as compared to some hot headed sherrif loaded with terms like "UnAmerican" and "illegal aliens"...making it sound like an invasion from space; not dealing with people but inferiors. In the GOOP world words matter and the fewer the better...they stick easier that way and can be regergitated on hate radio and across the corporate media.

Right now the best tactic is to let Paulbot Jr. continue to hang himself. It's creating rifts within the GOOP that never liked him in the first place and now are stuck with him. If Conway is smart, he'll be working the local chicken dinner circuit...rotary clubs, American Legions and the little things now that will pay off big in November. Time is on Conway's side right now as Paulbot Jr. wrestles with his blatantly exclusionary positions and coping with his new rushpublican handlers. I expect more gaffes and missteps to come. Paulbot Jr. can't stay hidden...and from here on out, you've got people (especially the corporate media) gunning for him.

26. You're right - Jack Conway would have been good as a replacement
Missed opportunity there. Rand would've been kicking himself even harder.

13. Yep did you hear that jackass saying that
Obama is governing so far from the left that the Republicans are moving farther to the right. WTF????

If Obama was governing from the left Bush and Cheney would have been arrested for war crimes

The Wall Street bankers would be on their way to prison
and BP executives would be in chains in a Federal jail.

These fucking people are mad.

9. This ties into one of my personal memes
How can people who don't BELIEVE in government be expected to govern? Or at least govern well? It's a legitimate question that I've never heard a rightie answer very well.

15. Can't of course.
The whole stinking ediface of rightwingerism, when you peel off all the metaphysical hooey, boils down to one thing: "Screw The Workers!" That's ALL they got.. their entire "plan".. the whole of their "message".. the entire corpus of their ideology. The believers are sad. Like snake handlers and so on. But the few at the top are just psychopaths. Opportunists conning the dummies.

16. You miss the entire point
Their desire for power is to facilitate the looting of government by them, their cronies and their mercenaries and of course to plant their operatives in strategic position within the bureaucracy to further continue the process when they are kicked out of office.

Now that they have been kicked out their role is to block progress.

19. Ol' Rand brought all this on himself. He had ample opportunity to
keep his comments generic over the past week and refused to, and every time he tried to gain the upper hand on the Civil Rights issue, he became further pretzeled.

He is evidently discovering that while he's top dog in his own little isolative world of hyper-Libertarian nutjobs and Baggers, he's not really ready for prime time on the national stage.

And it ought to be concerning for the GOP that a lot of people in Kentucky picked him over MItch McConnell's chosen darling.
