Question re overdraft fees at Wachovia Bank

My commission check was a week late and I had to use the overdraft facilities at Wachovia.

When I looked at my bank statement today, I see the following overdraft fees:

$35.00 x 2, $70.00, $105.00 x 2, $44.00. That is a total of $394.00 from May 12 to May 18. Can they do this?

I plan on going to see the bank manager on Monday when I am off and make a big noise about it - I think it is outrageous.

1. Take you cheking business to a local Savings and Loan...

They will still, usually, view you as a customer instead of a big whatever....

2. You are doing the right thing in talking with the branch manager.

Suggestion - if your overdraft is tied to savings, log into your account (or call) and transfer the money. Overdraft is a horrible Plan B.

3. Those look very high

You shouldn't be doing business with a TARP bank anyway, they NEED to squeeze you for every penny just in order to appear to be solvent.
