Can’t wait to hear from “Fabulous” Fabrice Tourre, the GS VP charged by the SEC with fraud after a series of email revealed he withheld crucial information to his investors about an investment that lost millions. According to the Washington Post, “Tourre designed the exotic financial instrument — a synthetic collateralized debt obligation call ‘Abacus,’ or AC-1 — that hedge fund manager John Paulson used to short the housing market.”


These fat cats are little better than high-paid used car salesmen who gambled with your money – bet against you with privileged insider info - and walked away rich as your house was foreclosed and retirement fund decimated. Now they claim all innocence.

It happened very rapidly. We were treating him for either IBD or intestinal lymphoma (the same medicine can be effective in treating both, so we didn't subject him to further testing) and he was doing really well until late last week. He stopped eating his prescription food, so the vet changed it and he only ate the new food for a couple of days. He turned off his meds, he'd been taking them without any problem - I used pill pockets and he eventually stopped eating anything. I tried to give him some tuna yesterday and he wouldn't eat it. He just laid around and couldn't get comfortable. He didn't even want us to pet him. It became clear that what he had was progressing and I couldn't let him suffer any more.

another interweb :hug: for you. When I had to take in the first cat that the Mr. and I had it was very difficult. My late MIL was terrified of cats and it was his first experience with a cat. They were very fond of each other and we had a cocker at the time who loved her, too. I was pregnant at the time, (Cory I think), and my late father came over to stay with the youngsters when I took her. The Mr. came home to scratch her head and hold her for a minute before I took her.

She was wrapped in a baby blanket and she has a stone (big rock) marker and a hosta on her burial site.

It's tough and I really feel for you. :hug: :hug:

43. I took my much loved cocker in, and a stray that I'd been feeding

and watering for months...they're buried in the same spot along with a couple of guinea pigs. Smaller rocks circle them all, and they're somewhat shaded by one of our old Christmas trees.

I did it and I never denied any of my offspring who wanted to see whoever prior to burial the opportunity to do so (I was told that I was a horrible mother for doing so at the time)...I just thought that they needed to say goodbye. They speak fondly of those pets now, no regrets, no unfinished business, sometimes sadness, but no regrets.:hug:

We all thank you for the smooches and hugs. He declined so quickly and I saw many similarities to Skid when he was near the end. He just stopped eating. He wouldn't eat tuna or baby food or even cream cheese. I'm just heartbroken tonight. I miss him so much. :cry:

Strange, ugly weather here. Clouds that spiral the WRONG way, gusting winds for 4 days, sunny and warm and then the temp. drops and the clouds and winds come in again.:scared: :scared: :scared: Last weekend this was going on and the Mr. left around 1 Sat. morning and got home around 2:30 Sun. afternoon. Two surrounding counties had been hit and my friend in GA said his area wasn't hit, but areas close to him had damage
