SF Senator Receives Threats Over Palin Probe

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ― Sarah Palin's scheduled appearance at a California university is sparking more than just controversy. A state senator says he's getting hate messages.

San Francisco Senator Leland Yee's office says they have received several faxes and emails with racial slurs, homophobic messages and even threats on the senator's life.

His office says the messages have been sent following Yee's call for greater transparency regarding former vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin's scheduled visit to California State University Stanislaus.

The Senate sergeant-at-arms is investigating the threats.
