Why we do we waste our time prosecuting cases where teenager's are sexting.
From NBC Los Angeles
It's a growing trend among teens known as "sexting," where nude or semi-nude images are sent through cell phones. Investigators said Wednesday they've busted a group of students at Yucaipa High School after nude images of teens were posted on a website.
Deputies cited four male students, all of them 15 years old. They identified eight female students as victims, ages 14 and 15.
The girls took nude photos of themselves, and sent them voluntarily to their friends, say investigators. The photos were eventually sent to a group of other students. One student collected the nude images and posted them on a Yahoo social networking webpage, said deputies.
While the four teenage boys were the ones who were cited, the District Attorney said the girls who took the photos of themselves are also facing criminal charges. They are not only considered the victims, but also the suspects in this case.
These crimes are considered felonies, and if the teens are convicted, they will have to be registered as sex offenders for the rest of their lives
What a waste of taxpayer's resources? Go crack down on shoplifters and pedophiles but not these young kids.
