1. The "Conventional Wisdom"

The shitstains that pollute our airwaves live in a bubbleworld of talking points and images that belie reality. One big one is how the rushpublicans are the "fiscal conservatives". They created that myth during the Raygun years...disguising greed with "responsibility" and hid all their fleecing of the treausury "off the books"...also known as defecit spending.

During the boooosh years you rarely heard about debt...despite being shown six ways from Sunday that the boooosh tax cuts for the rich would destroy the federal and state tax bases...draining surpluses almost over night. But the corporate media loved their tax breaks...and could care less what it did to the rest of the economy. That was until a Democrat took over the Executive...and now it's all the rage. The usual suspects who created the messes or ignored them now are back to playing scolds and revising history.
