Somalia Islamists al-Shabab ban BBC transmissions
The Somali Islamist movement al-Shabab has banned the BBC and closed down transmitters broadcasting the Somali language service inside the country.

Al-Shabab accused the BBC of fighting against Islam and supporting the transitional federal government, which the rebels are fighting to overthrow.

The group said the BBC had been broadcasting the agenda of crusaders and colonialists against Muslims.

The BBC said it was strictly impartial and spoke to all sides in the conflict.

1. And in a side note, with no correlation to the story above.

I to was pissed at BBC last night, although I am not Muslim, Libertarian, nor Somalian. And my complaints were about the telling of opinion about today inside of shows that are suppose to be about history.

although I am getting a good laugh, figuring that much of that story may be a bit less then accurate also.

Not sure if the story is true, and actually I like alot of BBC stuff but the ancient rome shows I saw, were more then history shows, and the history channel in US does the same thing. Some of the writers of their specials weave other tails into their stories.

Edit: I figured it out, it is a story about pirates.

Note that my post is not about what situations may or may not exist in Somalia. Although stories about chemical dumping talking of how many companies waged chemical warfare on the country by toxic dumping off the shore of their country are troublesome. That if such things were not targeted, could have been done in deep ocean with less chance of detection. (if the stories of such dumping are true)

And any government without some form of government by the people for the people will have issues.

2. What the ...?
Found another BBC story,

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/04/09/white-supremacist-black-a_n_531621.html

At the bottom there is some refrence to some violent singer going against the BBC.

violence is wrong and does not solve the problem, however it seems there are a few reports on BBC lately.

Whats up with that?
