Very smooth...

The house didn't even creak.

I got a little seasick, with it...vertigo.

Weird.

9. Noiseless. That's what was creepy.
A shaken house has the duty to make some darned noise.

20. My cats didn't even wake up
while I was rocking forward and backward in my chair. Everything that can swing in my place is still gently swinging.

Whew. I knew I can always count on you guys being the first to report these temblors.

Mwahh! to you all.

31. Kestrel! Long time no cat talk ;)
Btw, my cat had a fungus and needed a cortisone shot + antibiotics. She's fine now, fur in the bald spot growing back. Thank you so much for your advice, cat fixer of the Valley and good luck.

28. yeah, I lived up in northern california
in Ferndale--was in the book store when a quake hit, it was like riding a surf board. Just planted my feet apart and rode the wave. Some quakes jolt, others wave.

22. Being a So Cal'er who has relocated to Nor Cal
I extra appreciate DU on these days when there's shaking going on down there, it makes me both glad that I'm not there and yet just a little wistful about all the times I was there for the shaking (not that I ever enjoyed it, mind you)

Thanks for posting and keeping us all in touch!

luck that when I'm there to visit friends the BIG ONE will hit.
