Note: I am not anti-gun at all. Everyone has the right to legally posses a gun if they wish, as per the law. I own no guns.

What is up with all the Republicans suddenly buying guns or bragging about their guns? This might be just my area (Central FL) but most in my county are talking of buying guns or saying they're glad that they have their guns. This happened right after the HCR vote. Some of these people are seriously friends of mine from childhood. Some are talking about how they want to be armed because HCR passed. Some on Facebook have even posted pictures of their many assault rifles.

I hate to say it, but I personally have come to the point that I hope some of these idiots DO start something. It would be awful for the victims, of course, and I feel ashamed for entertaining these thoughts, but ...

If it does happen, it will be a self-fulfilling prophecy. They brought it upon themselves, and I hope that they would feel the full force and wrath of the justice system.

Ironic, wouldn't it be, if some of those "good, patriotic Americans" wound up in the same cell block with Richard Reid or Khalid Shiek Mohammed?

Sadly, I wish they'd do something just to see what would happen. I wish no harm on anyone at all, but I want to see the assholes march on DC like they say they can do. And most of these people I talk to are Tea Party.

6. I own guns to protect myself and family from Christian fundamental nut-jobs,

I will not be ruled by those who follow propagandists like Rush Limbaugh, and Glenn Beck, and their invented view of God for that matter. Nor will I sit by and watch these assholes terrorize Democrats, college students or any one else for that matter. I've already witnessed them harassing a Parkinson's victim in the streets, and from what I've seen so far, they are spineless cowards who like to intimidate the sick and the elderly. Let them post pictures to pretend to be Billy-Bad-ass or some other meat-headed self-gratification fantasy they are trying to fulfill. When the time comes for their coup-De-tat, they are too fucking stupid to organize such a thing, and will most likely strike in small organized acts of violence and vandalism. If they want to bring that shit to my neighborhood, I'm prepared to defend myself.

8. It works like this...

an email circulates around this time of the year stating, "DEMOCRATS ARE GOING TO TAKE AWAY YOUR GUNS!!!! BUY WHAT YOU CAN NOW!!! AND BULLETS!!! GET AS MANY OF THEM AS POSSIBLE, THERE IS A SHORTAGE!!!" when george w. moron* was prez, it was the same email only it was "THE DEMS IN CONGRESS ARE PUSHING FOR A BILL, ETC. ETC. ETC.!!!!"

What is really happening is the weapons manufacturers are clearing out last years stock. They don't need sales, they just play upon the mouth breathers fear of everything.

So out comes the emails, claiming this or that so they can clear out their old inventory.

Mark my words, they same shit happens every year and will happen again next election.

And if the Dems happen to win a few more seats, then watch out for the email stating, "THEY DON'T WANT YOU TO HAVE GUNS!!! THE DEMOCRATS CROOKED ELECTIONS HAVE MADE GUN OWNERSHIP A THREAT!!!"

It's the same old song and dance to move product. Mouth breathers are so gullible.
