Are Republicans flipping the hell out?
I had no internet access yesterday and today, all the rightwingers on my FB feed are talking like the Germans dropped the A-bomb on Pearl Harbor. They are flipping out. Eight years of putting up with Bush's crap and they can't deal with this? This which pales in comparison to ANYTHING Bush wrought on our nation.

5. Beck sure is.
He just compared HCR to Pearl Harbor, 9/11 and the Hindeberg disaster.

I'm getting some good belly laughs too. Beck is pretty funny if you can ignore for a moment that he's insane.

9. You made me flip to it for a minute -- he mentioned bill ayers,
andy stern and was holding a red phone. He then started imitating stoners. What a nutjob.

17. OK. I flipped back on MSNBC commercial break. He said liberals
don't know who Washington and Jefferson are. Then mentioned his "defenders of the republic" who won WWII, expanded to the West while the rest of us asked for government cheese and were, subsequently, eaten by wolves on the side of the road.

Progressives stole his Winston Churchill book from the set.

"GAME ON PROGRESSIVES!!!"

12. My right wing brother has come to his senses.
We talked today and he said he had come to believe that making sure everyone has health care is the right thing to do. He even said he believes it was what Jesus would do.

I almost passed out.

16. Well are you?
I don't like the bill, but seeing these people go off is more than a little bit entertaining. I hope the bill is fixed, since it's been passed I'm willing to give it a chance, but I don't like it.

19. i'm a medicare for all advocate. this bill is not what i wanted for us as a country at all. but
my mother in law will now finally, after 3 years, be able to get health insurance. she needs dual knee replacement surgery. no one will touch her. she'll end up in the high risk pool and they'll have to now.

there are good things in this bill, and bad things. we have to start somewhere. they better fucking fix some shit though, that's for sure.

i'm indifferent for the most part. i'm happy and sad all at the same time. gotta stay positive, even when things don't go exactly your way.

watching heads explode has been awesome. i imagine the day it's signed into law will be even funnier.

15. Government mandates
really piss Americans off, especially when they go against an individuals beliefs.

It really doesn't matter too much if the Republicans are flipping out though, the test is how many moderate Democrats and Independents are.

18. Look at it this way, their party was crowing about a permanent majority
just five short years ago. The Schiavo case was something all the real religious nutbars were feeling their oats over and Katrina wasn't even a gentle breeze in Mongolia yet.

Their fall has not only been rapid, it's rather unprecedented. From being the kings of the universe to being a minority is a tough transition under the best of circumstances, and a precipitous fall is the worst of circumstances.

If they're acting mentally ill right now, it's because they are. They've had the rug pulled out from under them and their butts hurt and they're still trying to figure out what happened and why.

That doesn't mean we have to tolerate their behavior or be used as their political punching bags. However, a little understanding of the venting that is going on might go a long way. Let them vent, report threats, and walk away from them in real life when you've had enough.

REPUBLICANS like to think of their Politics as though it were some kind of NFL football event. When their TEAM is winning, they will jump in Democrats faces and say things like.."SORE LOSERMAN!" "GET OVER IT.." etc.

They CAN'T Stand to lose. Well guess what? Our Team just got a field goal in Football terms. They are pissed. They are jumping up and down saying 'WHERE IS THAT DAMN YELLOW FLAG, that the Refs are supposed to toss?? "

They can't stand it when they are "behind".

The Elephant Just got its ASS kicked and they are livid.
