Now those idiot FReepers
Are actually broadcasting their sedition:

"Announcing the 2010 Continental Congress, Spring 2010 in Dallas, TX (Emergency Meeting)

Calling all Patriots! Calling all Patriots! It’s time. We can no longer allow ourselves to be subject to a corrupt, tyrannical Federal Government.

The purpose of this meeting will be to establish a new nation, a parallel country which any state, or portion of a state, is welcome to join. We are NOT seeking to compete in anyway with the United States, but rather, to liberate ourselves from what we believe is tyrannical, rouge Federal Government. Those states and territories that wish to join the new nation will declare themselves FREE from the authority of the Federal Government of the United States. The Federal Government of the United States will be FULLY compensated for ALL Federal property remaining in the vacating territories.

This is NOT a “coup” (Homeland Security need not worry). Our intentions are 100% PEACEFUL, and meant only to establish the framework for a new government. We do NOT intend to remove or replace the current government of the United States; rather, we wish to co-exist as allies and neighbors. We are merely establishing a new nation that will better serve the needs of its constituents.

We do NOT want a revolution. We merely want to peacefully separate in order to pursue our own interests in accordance with the Constitution of the United States. In NO way do we feel that our actions are treasonous. We are unable to sit idly by while the Federal Government abuses it’s authority by overreaching into the affairs of citizens and the states.

We are 100% committed to the U.S. Constitution and the first 15 Amendments, and the 19th Amendment. Any new governing body would be established in full accordance thereof.

Points of order to be discussed at the Second Continental Congress are as follows:

No United States legislation or Judicial decisions will be carried over to the new nation, but prior legislation and court decisions may be re-enacted by a vote of the newly formed Congress, or review by the newly formed courts."

instead of simply fomenting outright sedition.

They'd better bring there spell- check to the new continental congress.

Jefferson and Madison are heavy-duty competition.

It will make it hard for them to create a "shadow" government, or "highlight" their views on policy. And they can't even put "lipstick" on a pig anymore.

I guess they realize that only about 1-2 people of color would actually join them in their little utopia. So they (the minorities) would be able to vote but not enough to actually change anything, they probably think minorities are to dumb and lazy to vote anyways.

They figure "Lets keep the 15th to make it look like we're not racist, one or two black people won't make a difference in our new (white) nation".

25. The Constitution of the United States of America

Article IV

Section: 3

New states may be admitted by the Congress into this union; but no new states shall be formed or erected within the the jurisdiction of any other state; nor any other state be formed by the junction of two or more states; or parts of states, without the consent of the legislatures of the states concerned as well as of Congress.

So would Governor "Goodhair" Perry just hand over a few hundred thousand acres to these nuts? No, he wouldn't. No Governor, Senator or legislature (Republican or Democratic) is going to cut their states into pieces because these nutbags ask them to: definitely not so they could be "well-meaning" pals with no ill will in any way.

Oh, are minorities welcome? Liberals? If I decide that my house, in the middle of one of these free-rage nut asylums, is part of the old state how long would it be before I was burned out or murdered?

I find these FR claims to be dubious...

Our intentions are 100% PEACEFUL, and meant only to establish the framework for a new government.

We do NOT intend to remove or replace the current government of the United States; rather, we wish to co-exist as allies and neighbors.

We do NOT want a revolution.

We merely want to peacefully separate in order to pursue our own interests in accordance with the Constitution of the United States. They must have missed the above Article IV, Section 3.

I find these FR claims to be just moronic...

We can no longer allow ourselves to be subject to a corrupt, tyrannical Federal Government. They must have missed 8 years of Dubya.

This is NOT a “coup” (Homeland Security need not worry).

We are merely establishing a new nation that will better serve the needs of its constituents. See KKK for details...

28. I'm not totally against the idea...
Everytime I hear the expression "Two-State Solution," I find myself wondering if it would work here. Give them Texas & Alaska - minus the oil rights. They have to write their own Constitution - I'm sure it will be some bizarro-version of ours. Give up all entitlements to any US benefits, including HCR, the military, homeland security, Medicare, Social Security, etc. They could elect Sarah & Michelle. Make McCain Defense Minister (of a non-existent army). They could declare war on Iran (just them, not us) & use their rifles to fight them, and so on...

Whaddya think?

On edit: My great, great grandfather didn't fight, and nearly die, for the security of the Union just for this rabble to thump their chest and start the whole bullshit all over again.

If they considered to even try to make that a possibility then I would do what he did and fight, and if necessary die, for the security of the USA.

The idea of them leaving to form their new dumbass country is fine, but in no way should any citizen or resident of the United States of America, not even 1, have to move to allow these clowns to have their racist little utopia. Every state in this country bound itself to the union and the constitution does not allow for secession. If they want to break up the union then they are calling for civil war plain and simple. They can leave whenever they feel like it but they cannot take ANY part of this country with them.
