Daily Kos---Firedoglake--- Gee DU---who's next?
These two sites have done more to elect Progressives than this site ever has.

2. They're blogs. DU is a forum
The big difference is that blogs are run by one person or a very small group of activists. DU is for thousands and has Moderators not bloggers.

3. Next for what?
As far as I can tell, the founders' attitudes on the health care bill at those 2 sites are opposite - Kos says pass the senate bill, and firedoglake says kill it. I don't think it's the same people criticising both sites here, is it?

12. Where's Krugman this week?
Seems like he constantly gets thrown under, then pulled out, wash, rinse, repeat, depending on what's in his column or blog on a given day.

6. Since Obama's election, DU has come closer and closer
to looking like the left's version of Free Republic. Very disappointing.

7. The Hamsher - Norquist matrix is a bit much for this progressive.
I dumped Firedog from my Favorites list and it ain't comin' back any time soon.

I don't consider Hamsher a progressive. I consider her a fool.

8. kinda tells you something about who the echo chamber is here now, doesn't it?
Dissent is not a welcomed view here. Nor is true progressive views.

But hey -- if you want some tasty Tiger Beat photos from Washington each week - you can get them here!!!!!! :sarcasm:

13. Is that supposed to be the goal of DU?
Really? It's Democratic Underground, not some place called Progressives ONLY Underground. Those of us here who are pragmatists realize that there is no instant path to progressivism - only a slow, incremental path. That's the nature of the USA. To deny that is simply denying reality.

In many districts, the choice is, and will remain, between a centrist and a Republican. Nothing we do here or anywhere else will alter that. The only thing that can is one-on-one education in those districts. The people whose minds can be changed are not reading DU.

15. I like Kos and Kucinich
for one simple reason.
They are both Dems who are not terrified to have specific beliefs.
It is very rare thing for a Democratic politician and/or Democratic pundit to believe in something, anything.

18. Sadly, This Is Not Progressive Underground. It's Democratic Underground.
Many here couldn't care less about the progressive movement. All they want to see is a D after a politician's name. Anything he does or says at that point is irrelevant.

However, to answer your question, anyone that doesn't go along to get along or asks questions will be under attack.
