I am listening to Ed Shultz and I am wondering why..
he and others are pretending as though this is the first time the President has given this speech and made the same points. This reminds me of the campaign he always has to say the same thing over and over again and the media pretends as though they don't get it or it isn't clear enough.

Another problem I have with Shultz and the so called media is, they pretend to not know about the bluedogs (OBSTRUCTING)and what they have been doing all along when we have been screaming about them since last year.

Webb,mcCaskill,Bayh,Baucas,Conrad, stupak and others have been blocking the bill since last year and everyone acts surprised when someone finally gets on their asses(Rachel)..

It has long been past time for us to get on their asses, the Dems are the organizers and WE ARE THE ONES WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!!!:grr: :dem: :dem: :dem:

1. Now, Rendell and Guthrey on msnbc...
are praising the President's speech and talking about how clear it was and how he should have done it earlier.

What in the hell do they want they do pretend as though the healthcare bill is the only thing he is working on once he works on one thing they start complaining about how he isn't working hard enough on jobs,Iraq,foreclosures,etc..

It all works together where in the hell are the Dems?

3. Media-wise, Ed Shultz has been the loudest champion of the public option
Edited on Mon Mar-08-10 01:44 PM by Cetacea
And relentless in calling out blue dogs AND Obama. I don't listen to his radio show and never did care for it, but he has been without peer on his cable TV show, especially during the critical month of August, when too many people were pretending like HCR wasn't being swift-boated.
I recall posting at the time that it was Shultz, and not Rahm Emmanuel who deserved the label "pit bull".

edit: I have not been following his MSNBC show lately so I can't speak to his current leanings.

4. This is an absolute fact - Love Ed Schultz' accept no excuse MSNBC show
Edited on Mon Mar-08-10 01:59 PM by LaPera
on the public option....Ed kept it alive when almost everyone wanted it to go away or ignored it....ed's a champion of workers Unions - Thanks Ed!

Perhaps not the most articulate (nor has he ever claimed to be) but no one is most passionate than Ed on issues like the absolute need for Public Option health care reform.

5. Yes Ed has fought for the public option..
but that isn't my point,I like Ed. The Dems always seem to be slow on the draw when everything is right in their faces.

Many of these people haven't been fighting for us and we have known that from some of their statements and actions. The party leaders are too slow to act when they have been watching this game for years.

We should have been getting in the faces of these bluedogs well before now. I believe that some of these so called Dems have been working behind the scenes with the repubs to kill the bill all along.

10. Look the MSM machine
has most so called broadcast journalist who are not journalist at all they are talk show hosts.they make over the million dollar mark so it is profitable for them to protect their lovely tax cuts than to tell the truth.they are not fooled.they know the truth.they are protecting their money.Ed is a good guy with a heart of a lion, but sometime he doesn't put the blame where it belongs. And the blue dogs are a piece of work.

11. He sometimes goes off half cocked...
when he doesn't know the facts, a caller on his show complained about how david gregory doesn't ask the repugs the hard questions. Ed got rid of him right quick everytime someone makes a comment about Scarb he does the same..

13. They are all employed
By the same company GE or is it Comcast now. Some things they do because of censorship and their personal feelings and the fact that they have to put bread on the table. So seems like it is what it is.

16. Its all about the money...
They don't give a damn about us putting food on our tables. Yes,their personal feelings would be their love for bush that is why they censored the country from the truth about. Iraq, outting CIA agents,etc..

12. I like Ed but sometimes he makes me gasp, like last Friday when
he started to defend Massa and stated something about Massa being a man of high moral character. Monday he was back pedalling on that one.

14. Big Eddie is a passionate fighter that doesn't always
let the facts catch up with his rhetoric. Since he frequently leads with his chin, he will take more than his share of hits.

He seems very knowledgeable on health care issues, and I think he has lost a personal friend in Kent Conrad from this health care fight. He basically told John Nichols on his show that Conrad needs to return his money from the health care industry, or appear as if he was paid off.

he is saying what many of us are. What in the fuck is going on with these people. We win more seats and the Repubs are coming out of the woodworks and other assorted nuts..

17. He explained that Massa had been on his radio show many times for interviews
Edited on Tue Mar-09-10 04:10 PM by KoKo
and he was surprised by the allegations. He didn't know what to think at first..whether it was a smear campaign or verifiable. When more info came out he had to acknowledge that there was something there.

His radio show for years has featured many Dems from House and Senate that no other show would have on. Think of the few Dems who are on radio. Now that Air America is off...we have Tom Hartman, Ed and maybe another one. But, not all folks can get the other shows.
