The Party of "Lincoln" rejects the first black President.
No doubt, the first black President is surprised that the Party of Lincoln so despises him.

He has reached out his hand and they have bitten it off.

He tried to show them that he was on their side. He was instrumental in bailing out Wall Street. He tried taxcuts. He expanded their war efforts. He disposed of the public option in his healthcare reform. He did everything possible to show them that he was on their side. But they still called him a socialist.

The irony must be hard to comprehend? Reality bites.

2. If Lincoln were alive today he'd hardly be a member of today's republican party...
A long time ago I use to vote Republican from time to time - they were the party that believed in smaller government and less interference by the government.

That hardly describes 99% of the republicans in DC today.
