Wash. Post adds to its stable of former Republican staffers (Mark Theissen)

With the recently announced hire of former Bush speechwriter Marc Thiessen, The Washington Post now employs four national political columnists who have previously worked for Republican administrations, but only one who has worked for a Democratic administration. The addition of Thiessen, who originated the dubious claim that waterboarding Khalid Shaikh Mohammed "stopped an attack on the Library Tower in Los Angeles," continues to move the Post's editorial page to the right, filling it with prowar and pro-torture views.

8. It's been a laughingstock
A paper where the editorial page contradicts facts its own reporters dig up- and can't even publish a straight up science story without coloring the copy.

5. For me, it is a right wing paper now, and has been for awhile.
Whenever I had a chance to see clips of foxnoise ... They always just refer to the New York Times and not the Times and Post anymore.

12. I didn't know Warren Buffet was a liberal
and he's on the Board of Directors for the Washington Post, along with Barry Diller and a few other notables.

AND here's some info on the other affiliated companies in the WaPo Media stables,not to forget to mention Newsweek,too:

I know that he is a Catholic and has written for Catholic publications. Wonder if he is affiliated with Opus Dei?
