Can't anyone call "Bullshit" on this 'off-year' propaganda?
If we are to believe the Pundits, roughly 10% of the voting population in the United States flips its vote from Democrat to Republican and then back once every two years no matter what - it as unstoppable as a glacier.

What a load of happy horseshit.

The Republican noise machine is at full throttle trying to create a self-fulfilling prophecy. "Democrats will lose seats because the Party in power always loses seats". They know full well that if you convince people their guy is going to lose before the vote they won't come out and vote for him - nobody wan't to attach themselves to a known loser.

Do not buy into the lie.

5. It doesn't matter whether we believe them
they own the media, they own the voting machines, the propaganda is just to make it all believable when they steal it.

The only let Obama win because they wanted to blame everything on him. Nothing has changed.

6. Um the fact is that every president since the Civil War has lost seats
in his first midterm, save for FDR and George W. Bush.

If you think that is a lie or something, the onus is on you to make the case how Democrats would be able to make gains in the House in 2010. Do some math, tell me how we protect all of our incumbents, win open seats that favor the GOP, and then defeat the incumbent Republicans that have already been through a much more toxic 2006 and 2008 environment.

I doubt they will gain a majority, but if you think everyone expecting losses are liars, you have your head in the sand.

11. In other words "the fact is" the most recent example of a president gaining seats only 8 years ago.

14. That was the exception, not the norm.
We were only 14 months removed from the 9/11 attacks, otherwise Democrats surely would have gained seats in 2002.

The closeness of the race in MA should be enough for you to recognize that losses on some scale are very likely come November.

15. It is not a law, however, and in many cases the losses were minor.

7. Given that the GOP is down to its last 8 million.....
according to this great article, I don't see them doing well next fall. Generally speaking, the Republicans have to out spend the Dems to win even in a pro-Republican climate, so I think its all bull.

8. One "truth" as I see it, Republicans are solid
Republicans will drag their sorry asses to the polls in November and vote Republican. No matter what.

Democrats will go to the polls and vote if they're enthused, if they don't have something better to do, if the weather is nice. Democrats won't switch and vote Republican, but many may just sit out the election.

How to notch up the level of enthusiasm, that's a puzzle for this year.

:hi:

9. THIS is fascism.... a lying corporate press....corporate control of government ....
On the other hand, while the public does want health care reform by more than 74% --

they do not want corporate control of health care which is fascism --

We also have questions about fixed and rigged polls and computer voting which still

adds up to Repug steals. What have Dems done about that? What do they plan to do?

OTOH, many who came out to vote for Democrats seem to be deciding to send them a

message by either staying home or voting for the "more evil of the candidates" . . .

What is obvious is that we need a Plan B --

Where are the women's groups?

Where is the NAACP and AA and people of color to fight against this fascism?

Where are LABOR AND WHAT'S LEFT OF UNIONS to fight against this corporate machine?

Edit to add: that same logic a few years ago would have told us a black man with Hussein as a middle name would never be president.
