It's Official: Kasich Selects Taylor As Running Mate

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Republican Gubernatorial candidate John Kasich on Thursday announced Mary Taylor as his running mate for the 2010 Ohio governor's race, 10TV News reported.

Taylor is currently serving her first term as Ohio's State Auditor. She said Thursday she will not seek re-election, and will instead campaign for the lieutenant governor's job.

On the Democratic ticket, Gov. Ted Strickland has said he will seek re-election, but has not yet announced a running mate.

Lt. Gov. Lee Fisher is running for the U.S. Senate.
