Meet the teabaggers! Candidates coming out of the woodwork.
Edited on Wed Dec-16-09 07:09 PM by proud2BlibKansan
Mods, this is NOT an attempt to promote ANY of these fruitloops or their candidacies. Just an FYI.

RJ Harris is running for Congress - OK 4th district. RJ wants to end the fed http. He also wants to restore the constiturion! RJ thinks "Heath Care is an individual welfare and as such the federal government has no business attempting to provide it or dictating to our states how to provide it."

'Heath' care, RJ?? Like the candy bars?

Jake Towne is running in PA - 15th district. Jake is opposed to socialized medicine. Jake believes income tax is immoral and we should end the fed.

Yet another teabagger who doesn't like paying taxes. My heart bleeds.

Debra Medina wants to be the next governor of Texas. Debra wants to eliminate property tax and replace it with sales tax.

So that $100 worth of groceries costs $140! Yes, GREAT idea!

Adam Kokesh wants to be the next Congressman from NM 3rd district. Adam believes it is "morally wrong" for government to force people to take care of each other and thinks we can provide for ourselves through cooperation.

Yes, and the insurance companies will surely appreciate all that cooperation!

Peter Schiff wants to be a US Senator for CT. Peter has raised $1.2 million. He believes socialized medicine is a scary intrusion into our personal lives.

Wonder what kind of an intrusion Peter would call dying from LACK of health care?

3. Just a note: Adam Kokesh is not exactly a teabagger. He's a member of IVAW...
Iraq Veterans Against the War. The two strongest elements are revolutionary socialists and libertarians/liberals. Kokesh is a member of the latter group. He's not exactly a teabag idiot, but he has a reputation as an opportunist, so who knows where he'll land on the liberal-conservative scale.

4. He's a teabagger
I know, I'm disappointed too. But his platform is no different from the other teabaggers. He is opposed to health care, wants to end the fed, worships at the altar of Ron Paul and speaks at teabag rallies.

Teabagger.

5. You learn something new...!
I don't really give a rat's ass about Kokesh. I'm just very supportive of the left element of the IVAW. Too bad they are struggling to deal with such idiots.

I stand corrected!

6. PREDICTION: The Tea Party will take several House and Senate Seats in 2010
More in 2012.

And say hello to President Palin in 2012, too.

The Tea PArty is the only party with a net positive approval rating in the latest MSNBC poll.

They're filling the void like the National Socialists filled the void in the Depression Era Germany.

8. Disagree about Palin
But a few of these teabaggers may indeed take some seats in Congress.

10. Re-think your disagreement
It'll be a threeway race and Palin's base will be fired up.

Obama's base will be sitting out.

And the GOP will come in a distant third.

who are jumping ship on Obama faster than they did on Bush.

7. Tea Party has higher favorability rating than either Dems or Repubs
Edited on Wed Dec-16-09 07:51 PM by dgibby
"The loosely organized group made of up mostly conservative activists and independent voters that’s come to be known as the Tea Party movement currently boasts higher favorability ratings than either the Democratic or Republican Parties, according to the latest Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll coming out later today.

More than four in 10, 41%, of respondents said they had a very or somewhat favorable view of the Tea Party movement, while 24% said they had a somewhat or very negative view of the group. The Tea Party movement gained notoriety over the summer following a series of protests in Washington, D.C. and other cities over government spending and other U.S. economic policies.

Meanwhile, the Democratic Party, which controls both the White House and Congress, has a 35% positive rating compared with a 45% negative rating."

13. These people will only divide the Repuke party.
Then, maybe the Dems can nominate progressives. If the teabaggers keep it up, we can get real Democrats elected.
