I have figured Tiger Woods out.
Tiger Woods' father died a couple of years ago. Tiger has spent his entire life practicing golf, playing in tournaments all for his father's pride and pleasure--as well as his own pleasure, thinking about nothing but golf. It is very devastating to lose a parent, and I imagine he is particularly devastated. After his father's death, he had an injury where he has had to take pain pills to the point that he might be addicted. He is like Michael Jackson: never had a childhood. He has been acting out his adolescence with these stupid women. And aren't they a lovely bunch? I read a biography of Jim Bishop, one of the great newspaper writers from the depression through a long life in the "bidness". He said newspapers like nothing more than a "9-day-wonder", a story that dribbles out a new tidbit every day. Keeps people buying papers even during the depression when no one had a dime to spare. One of his greatest 9-day wonders was about the disappearance of a pretty girl. That went on for a few days, then they found the murderer, a mad man. The next day it came out that he had cut her head off. The next day it came out that he had boiled the head. The next day, and they had to reveal this very delicately, he had orgasms while eating the brain. With Tiger, we are at the point that a pretty girl is missing. Or a little boy is up in a flying saucer bubble. We have a long way to go.

5. I thought of Tiger's father's death, too...
and it made me think of JFK, Jr., who did not take flying lessons until after his mother died, knowing she disapproved. He had long since given up dreams of an acting career in deference to his mother's wishes. He waited until after Jackie's death to marry Carolyn, too; maybe because he knew his mother might not have approved of his choice for his bride.

7. I also think it was because he did not have time
for a normal childhood, and was always at the receiving end of adulation.

Maybe he grew up expecting that.

But I may be talking nonsense.

But this has to be the most humiliating experience he has ever had - a punishment he delivered to himself.
And brought him back to reality.
