August 28 - "Glenn Beck to hold March on Washington on anniversary of Dr. King's march"
Glenn Beck is going to try to bigfoot the NAACP and other civil rights organizations with this in your face move.

Conservative talk show host Glenn Beck has his own plans to commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s historic March on Washington.

Beck, whose right-wing opinions often run counter to Dr. King's views, plans to hold his own march on Washington next year on the anniversary of the day when King delivered his famous "I Have A Dream" speech.

On August 28, 1963, King shared his dream with an estimated 250,000 people at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington.

Beck chose the same date and the same location to try to make his own history. "Come August 28, I would like you to make your plans now to join me at the feet of Abraham Lincoln in Washington, DC.," Beck told a crowd of supporters recently. The August 28 event is the culmination of his 7 regional educational conventions to teach people how to run for office, register voters and practice "community organizing" tactics for the conservative movement.

2. Bet the makeup of the crowd will be a bit different
might want to alert the recruiters for the KKK. This could be the opportunity they have been looking for.

6. I'm sure they are already all over this
I recently read somewhere about Beck and Limbaugh being a gateway for the KKK.

7. Ahhh but can you imagine the culture clash?
200 or so teabaggers versus 3-4K progressives?

I would almost feel sorry for them...almost...

8. I'm sure they'd trot out the 2 or 3 black teabaggers to ensure they don't get mauled.
Front and center. Well paid or simply incredibly stupid.

11. OMG! Is Beck a Community Organizer????
I thought there was nothing more Stalin-like than trying to organize the community! I hope Sarah Palin gets wind of this, she can talk some sense into him. She says community organizers don't have responsibilities like those super-executive mayors and such.

12. Where is Louis Farrakhan?
The black panthers? Blacks had better be organizing and be prepared to defend their civil rights and not let beckkk and his haters set us back to the days of drinking at separate fountains and using separate toilets....eating in separate restaurants and sitting at the back of the bus.

It seems to me this crowd of thugs are running scott free, doing whatever they damn well please and NO ONE is stopping them. It's full speed ahead and if we all don't do something they will end up running this country to hell in a hand basket.

I am really sick and tired of all this blatant in your face racist bunch of morons always having the loudest voices and always having the last word. I am white, but I will be there on the streets marching with the blacks, because I HAVE HAD ENOUGH!

I thought I hated bu$h more than anyone on this earth but beckkk even tops HIM. Why do all the good people have to die and people like beckkk nothing ever happens to them? :grr:

17. No, that would mean Louis making himself useful for a change.
Instead of working against progress with his kooky shtick.

16. Let him march!
All I can hope is that a magnitude of civil rights groups will all come together, not as a protest to this raging, bigoted asshole, but as an affirmation to Dr. King's speech.
