Democrats still haven't gotten it.

Republicans will not vote for them.

And if the Democrats keep acting like Republicans, Democrats will not vote for them.

Lincoln and Landrieu will most likey lose re-election regardless of what they do. They most certainly will lose if they continue acting as they are, bending over to appease Republicans that will never vote for them at the expense of Democrats that did support them (but no longer will).

They could be a part of something historic. Instead, they choose to put their own political careers over their country. And the ironic part is that they most likely will still end up losing, regardless of their stances against the public option.

They are jumping through hoops to please people that will never vote for them.

Nobody respects a politician who is NOT prepared to take risks. Nobody. They are more likely to lose if they cower in the face of pressure.

...Colorado, I think it was. I hadn't heard much of him before. I think he was specially appointed? But CNN reported that he said he was willing to risk re-election to see true healthcare reform passed.

We need more politicians like him. Too many of them put their own political careers ahead of doing what is best for their constituents. The majority of Americans SUPPORT the public option, yet even our Democratic Senators are trying to block it. Why?

If we can't pass true healthcare reform, we need political reform. Term limits, public funding of campaigns, etc. Even though, what is the chance of that passing with these bastards in there?

Lincoln for the primary. http://www.ltgovernor.arkansas.gov If he does, I hope we send him money to run against her. I don't know about Landrieu or Nelson, if anyone wants to challenge them in the primaries but I hope so.
