Rove: "it was Osama bin Laden's" idea to start a pre-emptive war

http://www.cantonrep.com/index.php?ID=349289&r=0&Category=11&subCategoryID=0

<snip>

Then, he accepted a few questions from an audience of mostly students and staff. Whose idea was it to start a pre-emptive war? "I think it was Osama bin Laden's," he fired back, to a round of applause. Rove went on to say Saddam Hussein was a threat to the world. "We did the right thing by taking him out."

Another question: Why hasn't the military gone full-force in its war on terror, like the U.S. did in defeating Nazi Germany more than 60 years ago?

He closed with what amounted to a four-minute minute speech. He urged audience members to spend $17 on the books, "Messages to the World" or "The Looming Tower," both about bin Laden.

Rove said it's clear bin Laden wants four things: To expel the U.S., which he considers weak, from the Middle East; unleash a holy war on America and her allies; create a Muslim nation from Spain to Indonesia, which would resemble the Taliban; and destroy Israel at any and all costs.

2. I don't know which is worse - that he's an evil bastard
or that people fall for it and buy his BS.

Ok, if OBL started the war - which is debatable itself - then why the fuck did we not attack him?

3. Wow. And we're asking 155,000 US troops to stop that juggernaut?
What a phucking sham this war is, among other things...

5. Well *'s decision certainly aided al Qaeda, now didn't it? It weakened our military
and caused a proliferation of terrorism. Does this mean * takes orders from OBL now?

7. It was definitely bin Laden's wish that we invade Iraq!
I think Rove inadvertently told the truth when he said it was bin Laden's idea...

8. And what Mr. Rove makes you a foreign policy/terrorism/security expert?
Aren't you just an overgrown kid from the College Republicans who specializes in political dirty tricks like bugging your office, leaking classified information and attempting to exploit racism for the benefit of your candidate?

Hasn't your job mainly been political within the White House? And doesn't that make you speaking about this at all at length inappropriately politicizing this issue?

Oh and a follow up please? When exactly did you decide Lucifer was your lord and master? I have a bet with a friend. ;)

Rove knows how to manipulate this country like he is just pressing a few buttons and pulling a few levers. Easy as pie.

11. If anybody would have had a real live working brain in that clustergrope,
they would have asked why, if it was ObL's idea, Bush shut down the unit tracking down ObL recently ...

12. Maybe Rove should go to work for bin Laden. He seems to know more about what
bin Laden wants that he does about what the American people do!

22. It's also interesting how they phrase attacking Iraq as "taking Saddam out"
Saddam is dead... so mission complete?
