The "pro-life" Taliban is never going to stop attacking women's rights!

We need to bring back the Equal Rights Amendment!

Bring in a whole new generation of young women to defend their freedoms.

The Taliban is determined to take us all the way back to before we could vote, work or even own property.

And it won't stop until our rights are written into the Constitution where they will be untouchable FOREVER!

Forget about the health care bill fight. It's not possible to keep the bluedogs if they don't have this to hide behind. BUT...

Use this attack to start up the ERA part two movement!

This time we WIN!

1. A generation has come between ERA and where we are now
Many young women do NOT believe the way things were then.
They have no idea of the women who fought and died for their rights.
History books don't serve justice in explaining the process.
We are on our way into some scary times for young ladies if these old patriarchs have their way.

4. That's why we need to bring it back. They'll learn from their own experiences.

When they have to defend themselves. They don't have any idea. And that needs to change.

9. Yes, they think a feminist is a woman who can't get a date
They think a feminist is some ugly woman that can't function in the world and is angry all the time. That is thanks to vermin like Rush Limbaugh. They don't want to be associated with feminists. And young men, who would normally want the young women to have equal rights, won't stand up for feminism because they have been taught that it will prevent them from having a wife and family somehow. The right has done a number on feminism, just like the term liberal.

I wish young women would wake up to what they will loose, they take "the pill" for granted and refuse to see that the right wants to end birth control, not just abortion.

My supervisor at work taught a freshman college class this semester that dealt with tolerance and in one exercise the kids were supposed to tell who they wouldn't invite home to meet their parents etc... "Liberals" and "Feminists" were two groups that many of them didn't want anything to do with. Scary.

6. No, and if they ban safe and legal abortion
they'll come after birth control. If they ban that, they'll dictate our clothing, "for our protection." If they manage that, they'll put us under house arrest "for our protection" unless we can find a male escort.

We know these men. We know what they want to do to us. They are our deadly enemies.

Life would be so much more pleasant if they'd all just come out of the closet.

10. +1
Anyone that thinks that people in the middle east somehow have different DNA than us, and that such things can never happen here need to wake up. I fear Republicans because of their theocratic nature, I look at them as the most evil force on the planet. They are as evil in spirit as the Taliban, but when in power have far greater access to wealth and weapons.
