<snip>
At least 132 people have been killed and 520 injured in two car bomb attacks in Baghdad, Iraqi officials say.

The blasts hit the ministry of justice and a provincial government office near the heavily fortified Green Zone.

They came in quick succession at 1030 (0730 GMT) as people headed to work during the morning rush hour.

This is the deadliest attack in Iraq since August 2007 and comes three months after the US handed security control of cities to local forces.

The Iraqi authorities say that they believe these two attacks today and those of the 19th of August are linked.

The attacks have drawn comparison with those of 19 August, when truck bombs hit two ministry buildings and killed at least 100 people.

2. BBC says there is no way that these two massive bombs
could have passed through all those check points without complicity from some high ups. They are suggesting that this was an inside job.
Anyone seen the Dick?? :evilgrin:

5. Yes...
It would be fabulous if Pakistan completely fell apart leading to Pakistan's nukes falling into the hands of AQ.

Just fabulous.

7. There's already a HUGE AQ presence in Pakistan, and very few
of them in Afghanistan right now. So it may be time to reconsider strategies at this point!

9. Bringing troops home isn't going to stop terrorist attacks in Iraq
it may make it 100 times worse for the average Iraqi. It doesn't mean we shouldn't bring troops home but don't act like its for the good of the average Iraqi and will stop car bombs.
