Friday night fun: Teen changes name to- (too long to put in title)
Teen's 'Fantastic' new name 'Super' long

GLASTONBURY, England, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- A British 19-year-old has officially changed his name to "Captain Fantastic Faster Than Superman Spiderman Batman Wolverine Hulk And The Flash Combined."

The Glastonbury, England, teenager -- originally named George Garratt -- said his new name, which is thought to be the world's longest, has so outraged his grandmother that she is no longer speaking to him, The Telegraph reported Monday.

The teen said he used an online service to officially change his name for a $20 fee.

"I wanted to be unique," Captain Fantastic said of his name choice. "I decided upon a theme of superheroes."

4. I can't believe its that cheap.. It would cost a fortune in the US to change your name.
There's court fees and scrubbing documents all the way back to birth. The people I work for changed their last names.. In their culture, whent hey marry, they make the dad's first name the couple new last name. Then they decided to become "american" and changed all their names to the last name of the father. The kids were already born.. It was a document nightmare and up until 2 yrs ago when the whole fam needed passports to get into Canada.

5. I am not aware of a requirement to have records scrubbed.
The court order changing the name would, I am sure, have to be filed according to statute (probably in multiple places)

When I was an attorney In the District of Columbia some years ago, some guy filed a petition with the court to have his name legally changed to "666." After I saw that in the local legal newsletter, I started noticing that my work required that I was always pulling volume 666 of some court record. LOL

6. It doesn't cost that much in the US
Cost of a notice in the paper and the court costs in my state (Wi) currently are $168.
