One sign of a good congressperson: the US Chamber of Commerce gives them a low rating
Edited on Wed Oct-14-09 06:20 PM by Ardent15
Dennis Kucinich has a lifetime rating of 22 percent from the US Chamber of Commerce.

Maxine Waters has a lifetime rating of 23 percent.

George Miller has a lifetime rating of 24 percent.

Barbara Lee has a lifetime rating of 25 percent.

Nancy Pelosi has a lifetime rating of 26 percent.

etc etc

Check the cumulative lifetime ratings and the ratings in the 2nd session of the 110th Congress

at <http://www.uschamber.com/issues/legislators/08htv_house.htm>

If your congressperson has less than, say, 33 percent rating from the COC, that's a good sign. It means that person is doing well to vote for the people and not business interests.

My congresswoman, Anna Eshoo, has a lifetime rating of 39 percent and a most recent rating of 61 percent from the COC. Not good enough.

3. This is one of the most accurate ways to get real insight into
where your congressperson stands.

I have always said: When a vote is down to the crunch will a
Congressperson favor business even if it means kicking the
people to the side of the road.

The Chamber of Commerce is only interested in Business getting
their way so a high score by COC tells you everything you need
to know.

5. Mine is... 48?! Oh fudge.
He ran unopposed last time. I don't know what is going on in terms of local politics, but yeah this is a black mark, in a deeply blue district. I hope we can replace him.
