For eight long years (most of them within a few seats of senate control)

and for the last few years, IN control, but during that whole time, democrats were rarely if ever even asked their opinions about almost anything. Whenever they were "invited" to comment in public, their appearance was more of a "chew-toy" appearance for the 3 or 4 republican counterparts also sharing the camera shot...

Most of the time their airtime was used up by constant interruptions, being talked over, or by the host asking them why they were irrelevant.

and now, with a 21 seat advantage in the senate, the presidency, and a commanding majority in the house, there is rarely ever a broadcast that does not "go to" whatever idiotic republican (old or new, currently working or long-retired) who has been invited, to comment on what a horrible job the new administration is doing.

About the only democrat I have seen lately, who takes no prisoners, and always comes prepared for "battle", is Anthony Weiner,

Far too many democratic participants, stand meekly by, as their republican counterparts re-create history with their own particular slant.

In recent days we have been "treated" to zombies like:

Betsy McCaughey
Dan Senor
Andy Card
the "lovely" Liz Cheney
Dr Cat-killer Frist
and others whose names escape me at the moment.

The new DNC guy is awol, and whomever is in charge of PR for the dems is doing an equally shitty job.

Controlling the message is probably 80% these days, and we cannot allow the nutcase fringe of the republican party to continue to be "important".

Every issue that has to pass muster by an angry minority, will not be properly discussed, and why on earth everything has to be "approved" by republicans, is totally batshit-insane.

5. When Republicans were in charge, we heard the excuse that
there was no point in having more democrats on tv because the republicans controlled everything. Now that that the democrats supposedly control everything we're still seeing only republicans. What ever the excuse is, it's still just an excuse.

When will everyone acknowledge that it's the official policy of the mainstream media outlets to give the vast majority of their positive media time and attention to republicans? We should all know this, and the media reps should finally admit it. x(

6. I completely quit watching C-span because of this
no matter when I tune in to it, there's some AEI or CATO or Heritage nonsense on...or the right wing nuts are monopolizing the call ins..or Brian Lamb is massaging Ann Coulter's ego for 3 hours, or there is yet another panel discussion by Civil War authors..all lovingly extolling the virtues of the rebel soldiers.
