3. I'm certain Richard's politics and **'s collide
Also am surprised Gere wouldn't have been aware of that perspective in the Indian culture. He's a pretty sensitive guy.

7. and a Budhist! Been speaking against Bush lately - his last movie deals with
Watergate and he outlined the similarities. Not a bad guy, for sure.

4. He blew it - but me thinks there's an overreaction too...Bill Richardson was telling
of a time he made a gaffe with Saddam (showing the soles of his shoes). Bad guy Saddam was able to get over it and conclude the agreement...I think while gere should apologize, they should also allow for the fact that it's a national tradition, not known by everyone.

11. Gere represents America! He is the Ambassador of Terrible Acting
Like Bollywood on crack. India feeling a little tension is it? Keep your hands off our women, Dick! At least it ain't Cheney, searching for a new country to invade.

13. Quick, hide your wallet.
Somehow I think this is going to be another excuse to funnel tax money to Tim LaHaye and those singing computer animated Jesus Vegetables.
