Stupidity as the new norm
Forgodsake, when does the media
stop covering stupidity, the people
uttering stupidity and
stop rewarding stupidity?

What happened to shaming those
who didn't study facts? What
happened to rewarding intelligence
and those who actually know
facts?

Stupid people and those who don't
learn facts are little better than
sheep and can be manipulated by
those who are smarter and know the
facts. It's sad to watch humans
with brain matter not using what
they were born with.

Just because someone said it in front
of a camera or wrote it on the Internets,
in newspapers, or said it on the radio, doesn't
make it true. Use your brains. Learn the facts and
pass on the truth.

We know doing stupid is cheaper and
easier in the short run, but its costs over time
are enormous to all our futures.

2. I don't think you can place all the blame on the ed system
Like in life, there are going to
be good teachers and parents,
and not so good ones also.
So many factors go into learning.

6. I have always suspected that reporters always searched for the ignorant.
When I watch our local news they never interview an intelligent person. Most of the time it is an ugly and ignorant person. I don't believe that most people are ugly or ignorant.

7. There has always been
an anti-intellectual streak in this country's (and others') personality. It's just gotten bigger and greasier over the last several decades.

And it helps to keep the fat-cats securely in their cushy places.

There is an old saying, "Keep their minds empty, and their bellies full."

8. Are these song lyrics?
I don't much like the meter, but the sentiment is certainly there.

9. As a society, it seems at times we ARE the petri dish.
It took decades of substandard teaching and other conditioning mechanisms to get us at this level of sheeplehood. Too many factors to list in total, all in all it's about creating a desire for conformity, combined with what is now widespread lack of economic viability.

The powers that be have programmed themselves a Pavlovian public that enriches corporate overlords who control those who create perception. All their roads lead to a certain hell for a thinking public, so the sadistic status shepherds see to it there isn't one. Their agenda is to keep us tired, hungry and uneducated so we lack the capacity to challenge their methodology until such time as their efforts outweigh our potential to provide them profit.

The bulk of these folks suffer from a need to exclude due to insecurity, talk them out of that and the rest should be a breeze. So to be a wind of change and widen the walking path to a more informative and communicative future, as such is the challenge of our era and what it is to be the original 21st century progressives.

10. Stupid people... who love stupid people...
... are the luckiest cows in the world.

Through the constant de-funding of basic education, the elevation of higher education ever closer to the domain of the elite (and the intellectually enslaved), and the relentless lowering of our collective standards, the corpoatocracy breeds stupidity and ignorance into "the rest of us" and regards us as cattle for them to feed upon.

The individuals complicit in this do so because they are intimidated by talented, imaginative people like us and their purpose is to drive us into extinction by any means possible. These "people" couldn't think long-term if you handed them a telescope...

Oh yeah, I almost forgot... these same people tried to outlaw telescopes not too long ago.

11. Almost Forgot...
The preceding post was in no way influenced by the fact that I just finished watching Ken Russell's film "The Devils," as frighteningly relevant to current events as it is... Not at all. Merely a coincidence!
