Palin-critic just $100 behind in Palin dinner auction; just 2 hours to go
Here's a link to the eBay auction listing for a dinner for five with Palin (proceeds go to a wounded vets group):

http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=260474255847

The user c***i is Joe McGinnis, a Palin critic who wants to use the dinner to promote the book he is working on: "Sarah Palin's Year of Living Dangerously."

Here are some more details on him and his bids:

It would be extremely entertaining if he were to win! Go Joe! :)

1. The only problem is that he might not be allowed to win, even if it is for charity.
From the fine print at the bottom of the auction page and it's link,http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260474255847

" Governor Palin reserves the right to refuse dinner with a winning bidder if, in her sole discretion, the winning bidder is not a suitable bidder based on her subjective standards of suitability, professionalism, background and other factors. In the event the high bidder is rejected for this reason, the high bidder's bid will be refunded, if paid, and the next highest bidder shall be notified, and thereafter, until a suitable match is determined."

2. Right. It's not even really an auction

It says she is going to go down the list of bidders until she finds one she believes is "suitable."

Adding: It's more like a pay-to-play audition. First you have to have 25k, then you have to meet her standard.

5. That's the "barracuda" for ya. She doesn't do interviews, quits her position because of criticism,
hides behind facebook, and selects her own "winners".

7. And her handlers will be smart enough not to mention how many got turned down ...
before a {spoiler: irony ahead} "winner" is deemed acceptable.
