City panel enacts swine flu policy
The city of Wausau's (WI) Human Resources Committee on Monday adopted a policy to prevent an outbreak of H1N1 among city employees.
The policy allows a supervisor, after consultation, to order an employee home if that person reports or shows signs of swine flu.
Employees sent home will not be allowed back to work until 24 hours after their fever is gone or until they have proof of a negative H1N1 test.
Employees will be required to use their sick leave time until that is gone. Then they would have to use vacation and/or personal days.

The spread of illnesses gets fueled by people fearing the loss of the income or being fired.
And for those who think I am a libertarian, look above, I am promoting government involvement in business! (which I do often, I just think there is a common sense limit like I do with their involvement with our personal lives - there is just something about freedom I like for some reason)
