O.K. This Is Just Sickening (Not That I'm Surprised)
From CrooksandLiars.com:

http://www.imgred.com/

The entire quote is: "I think that nobody wants to play chicken with our troops on the ground." Why would FOX leave out the first four words? Or why not at least include "nobody"? There's plenty of room. I'd love to say that this was a mere oversight, no malicious intent. Their track record, however, doesn't assuage my suspicion.

1. Most of the American public wants a soundbite.
Faux is putting out that the Dems don't care about our troops on the ground. It's easy to manipulate the general public than for them to actually read the whole quote by Sen. Obama. Call it laziness if you will.

2. I think it's funny.
Look, the hardcore Fox crowd isn't going to vote for Obama no matter what. This kind of idiocy just reduces Fox's credibility with the few viewers that still have more than one functioning brain cell. IMHO the more they do this the more then do the Dems a favor.

5. They've become a parody of themselves.
Edwards has done the right thing to shut them out.

7. Sorry to steal a gag from the C&L comments page, but...
I'm surprised they didn't go the whole hog and just have him say, "I... wants... chicken".

This is a wierd one. Is FOX trying to pass this off as a quote ABOUT Obama, even though they cite it as a quote BY him? I know their viewers are idiotic enough to interpret it that way. Are they implying that he said "I wants to play chicken with our troops"? Who does FOX claim he is saying this about?
