The classification may have not been politically astute but, how could the Canadian military wipe this from its institutional memory? For the army of the day it was a major deployment. Good thing it didn't go much worse. Just the same, it'd be strange if the military didn't see at least a remote possibility of a Mohawk insurrection. That's not something that they invented out of whole cloth.

I would not agree that listing them with Hezbollah is appropriate or judicious whatsoever. But let's not wipe away reality, either.
