Ask the DSCC to Promote Primary Candidates against Landrieu and Bill Nelson (FL)

Landrieu has come out opposed to the public option and threatens to vote against the House bill should it come to the Senate with one it it.

Nelson of FL says we should slow way down in passing a Health Care Bill. These two Senators are going against the President's plan and the Will of the People.

It's time for us to hold these DINOs accountable. Ask the DSCC to promote primary candidates over these incumbents in the 2014 Louisiana Senate race and the 2012 Florida Senate race.

Let's send a message to these Senators that if they want to call themselves Democrats, then they need to vote like Democrats.

3. The only way to get rid of DINOs and Blue Dogs is to vote them out,

or allow a Republican to win so a true Dem can run against them the next time. There is not perfect or painless way to do this, but it can be done. So let's do it and be done with it.

8. I disagree. The DSCC should stay out of primary battles.

We get ticked off, justifiably so, when the DSCC backs a right-wing Democrat against a genuine progressive. The right-wing Democrats who contribute to the DSCC would have an equally valid beef about using their money against people they admire (such as Nelson and Landrieu).

The DSCC has a very full plate dealing with the general elections in states that could go either way. Let it husband its resources for those races.

(BTW, although I disagree, I did not unrec the thread. Discussing the proper role of the DSCC is a perfectly appropriate use of the forum.)
