Money, Obama and Red State Dems
Ok. As far as I can tell, Red State dems are the biggest hindrance to health care reform. Can Obama cause money to ebb or flow to their campaigns through the power of his gravitas or power of the bully pulpit?/

1. The GOP use Money apparently very effectively(according to your
viewpoint. For example, when they whipping a piece of legislation
and they to someone is dragging their feet, or even in opposition.
After some tries, they will let them know some campaign funds
might be withheld. Support in the next election(this is harsh
but if it is important legislation, I understand the sky is the
limit.

It is my understanding our party does thing differently.
I have heard, for example, that the Blue Dogs have been given
to understand they will receive no extreme pressure. They are free to Vote
their Constituency.

There positives and negaives in each.

IMO, the GOP can be too authoritarian, This is how they have
succeeded with their agenda of Conservatism. I always wonder
if there were a tiny bit less knee-capping and arm twisting
would the GOP be a more attractive party to a larger group
of Americans. Right now they make Atilla the Hun look liberal.

On our Side, they are always herding cats, discombulated and
it seems they cannot get things done. IMO, they could do
with a good dose of authoritarianism. They could use some
arm twisting and knee capping just about now. Where is an
LBJ when you need him?

In our party there appears to be a need for structural change.
This business of people never having any duty to the party.
Do your own thing for your constituency. Some I fear do
not concern themselves with their constituents as much as
they move to the beat of their own personal ideology. Most
importantly, their interest is the next election and saving
their seat.(This is my opinion) I simply believe they should
have responsibilty to the party.

2. Blue Dogs seem to be like republicans and would respond to pressure of campaign funds. Let's use
that tactic with them.
