I think the Dems should push for the Swiss model of health insurance.

Swiss health insurers can and do make profits, however, is on supplemental coverage. This is for things like dentistry, alternative medicine (which is popular in Switzerland), and semiprivate or private hospital rooms.

The corporatist Repubs and Dems wouldn't be able to scare constituents calling such a plan "a government take-over."

This would put a wedge between corporatist politicians and conservative voters who fear Big Government.

1. Even PNHP has posited that there is a place for insurance after

basic health care needs have been met, however, our bought and paid for Congressional Reps and Senators and mainly our Democratic Senator Baucus, who could change the debate, will have nothing to do with it.

2. nah, I'd go with the Taiwanese approach. They're apparently doing quite wonderfully

with their single payer approach. The leeches need to go, they've outlived their usefulness. Drown em in a tub (figuratively).
