Why exacerbating problems is important to the GOP:
It's simultaneously their key strategy for regaining power and, to the misfortune of us all, what they would do if they succeed in taking control.

There is no other result.

It's why they should never be given the benefit of the doubt and that should always kept in mind whenever you're trying to figure out their motives.

Anyone who trusts or supports them should be considered a fool, a tool or a useful idiot.

That's how I break it down to the brass tacks.

1. They're just like shit-stirrers in prison.
Their harmful agenda can thrive only when honest and caring people are kept off-balance by lies, tactics and fearmongering. They will always be in control because violence and intimidation demand an immediate response, while the efforts of people who want to make things better are quiet and thoughtful, and therefore easily pushed aside in the fray.

It's all about the fray.
