1. I've skipped most of these many threads but...
I noted one earlier referencing a Kos thread referencing an (the?) Edwards blog, like from the family itself, talking about how they're building green. I didn't note the name of the contractor but, well, I'm not sticking my neck out too far about this if you can go to Edwards' offical site and find your way to this info yourself. The truth is out there, as they say.

President off to Washington, Hillary remains in New York as commuter marriage begins

January 6, 2000

CHAPPAQUA, New York (CNN) -- The moving vans are being unpacked, and on Thursday, President Bill Clinton heads back to Washington, leaving first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton to settle into their new home and prepare for her campaign for the New York Senate.

It is the start of a modern commuter marriage, with the first lady setting up a new home in a white $1.7 million house in a cul-de-sac in the wealthy hamlet north of New York City, while her husband remains at the White House. On Wednesday, the Clintons had their first meal at the new house, where they both plan to live after Clinton leaves office in January, 2001.

Their furniture and other goods arrived from Washington in two moving vans. "Like any new homeowners, they're excited," White House spokesman Joe Lockhart said after the couple arrived. Joining them was Mrs. Clinton's mother, Dorothy Rodham.

Snip ......

3. I love John Edwards....... but...
His timing on this really sucks big time..... We currently have the middle class being bashed, and God help the lower than middle class. ie: homeless etc. If you are running for Pres. you have to keep these media ads in check.... As I said on a previous thread, if John Edwards has the money to afford this home, and it is legitmate money.... Hey, you all agree that this is a Democracy and he deserves this....

7. I agree with you
I support Edwards, but he should know better than to give the GOP anything to throw in his face. Get elected President, John...then there'll be a big White House all ready for you to move into. ;)

8. You can be PERFECT and the GOP/FAUX patrol is still gonna get ya...
Remember the movie Citizen Kane?

Kane was out for blood on a political opponent but the guy was squeaky-clean...
couldn't get ANYTHING on him.

So, what did they do?

Jumped his ass for being faithful to his wife during their entire marriage.
"There's gotta be something wrong with that guy...faithful to the same woman for XX years?"
:wtf:

If they can't find something real, they'll make shit up. We KNOW that.:banghead:

And unlike McCain, who married into wealth, Edwards earned his.

9. What's the REAL story? You haven't even provided a story.
:wtf:

How about you find out about something before posting baseless questions and saying it's the real story. Jesus christ, that's Faux News tactics. What a waste of space this thread is.

14. There is no such thing as a union shop in NC
We are the least unionized state in the nation due to having very strict right to work laws.
