LA Fitness shooter's 1994 Usenet sig: "Stop Socialism: Impeach Clinton!"

I just found this...

George Sodini

Kate:

When I went to the University of Pittsburgh down here in Pennsylvania, we
had a university owned bus(s) that would make continous loops around
campus all throughout the day, free of charge of course. It benefitted
*all* students at the university, so I think it is a good idea.

What you seem to be suggesting is that *all* students (including on
campus residents) pay for bus service that only the commuters will use.
The word that you used that caught my eye quick is "universal", which is
also being used quite often now down here in the states.

What will happen when the budget runs short of funds like your health
care system did last year? Will they also close like your hospitals
did? :-)

From a political point of view, this type of plan can only benefit the
political figures who implement it.

1. the guy's response makes no sense either
considering that the argument he used against her idea is the same as the argument he used to defend his university's bus system, which wasn't free because every student's tuition probably helped pay for it, and only the commuters really used it. Or maybe I am missing something here.

But yeah: proof that he was a right wing nutbag. What a shock, considering his attitude toward women and non-whites.

4. I got called out for the same thing
I still think there is a possibility he is a right-wing nutcase. He was a misogynist, which a lot of social conservatives are.

But in his blog, he bashes both the left and the right. I wouldn't be surprised if he hated the two Bushes and Reagan just as much as Clinton and Obama. This guy was just bitter, pure and simple.

6. Did he bash the right?
I thought he only bashed religious fundies... which makes sense due to that cult he was in.

7. He might have been a freeper...
or he might have been one of those dipshit, longterm, semi-literate DU trolls that are always sticking their feet in their mouths.

You know the ones I mean.

9. There was nothing in your thread that indicated he was a Freeper
Racist and sexist most definitely, but not a Freeper. He called his brother in law a right wing rigid religious type. So I didnt see the connection to Free Republic at all. This post is another story. But your OP wasn't proof of it at all.

10. Your post said
"It is VERY LIKELY he posted on Free Republic" without any evidence to support it. Even this example, while it is very much like something a Freeper would say, it isn't evidence to state it is "VERY LIKELY he posted on Free Republic".

5. too bad he lost interest in the outside world
I'd rather he be thinking about public transportation issues than obsessing over himself.

11. I don't know...
Crazies can be found on both sides of the political spectrum. I don't think politics are what motivated Mr. Sodini to do what he did.
