The baby's father wants her to get the death penalty, even though he knows she suffers from both schizophrenia and post-partum. He also has schizophrenia.

Gawd. I know he's hurting badly, so I am not going to say anything directly about him. I just wish that people would understand that these types of actions automatically make a person totally effed up and out of her skull. This is not some personality problem; this is someone totally out of control and needing of full-time care. The article suggests that mothers with post-partum not be allowed to be with the child. As sad as this is, it's for the baby's protection.

Surely she had a doctor who was treating her for her mental illness, and also knew she was having a baby. It seems she should have had somen intervention on her behalf.
