A generalized post on race.. related to no other case.

This has nothing to do with Gates/Crowley.. Sotomayor..Obama.. The Japanese internment or any race related issue specifically..but of course it does relate to all generally.


We are a mixed race family. All the colors of the rainbow. I am beginning to think the Obama family more correctly identifies what the general American family is becoming. than those old Rockwell paintings.

All white people are not secret racists with a handshake that gets them the better deal. They just are not. Do white people get painted by the broad brush of being called racists because of the crazies. You better believe it.

Are there some scary people who have taken up residence in the republican party who would rather kill you than eat next to you. Oh yeah, you better believe it.

People of color get profiled a 1000 times a day. And you better believe that also. From outright hassling at traffic stops, to being followed around at a department store. It is a cancer that eats at your soul, and it is NOT the problem of the person being followed.

When will we know, that we are a race neutral country.

When the vast majority of us, can react in concert to racism and fear without getting defensive for our particular race.

When we do not have to fall back into our identifiers through color, to feel we are being heard. We are starting to get there, but we still have a long way to go in that.

That is when we will be race neutral
