Can't Sleep so rant is in order
Today we find out again DOD is sending troops with PTSD back to Iraq. They also told us profile three troops are being sent back. Profile three means you cannot left anything over 15 pounds. Hell you vest is more like 20 pounds with all the gear. Today was National POW and MIA day. But the Chimp said not a word. Matt has been missing in Iraq going on four years now but again not a dam word. Women Vets are coming home telling horror stories about being raped by their own. But yet again Bush sleeps well. Homeless Veterans are now at 250,000. Returning troops are being put on waiting list for health care about 151,000 of them. Education for the kids is not being paid. But Bush sleeps well. When will America open its eyes and say Enough? When will Democrats in Congress live up to their word to bring them home? DU are we the only ones who care? I just don't get it. I want to storm the Gates again. But We old Vets don't fad away we just get angry. But the Chimp Sleeps Well.

End Of Rant

about his religious beliefs. He cares ONLY about his own ass and his own legacy and will sacrifice whatever and whoever is necessary to achieve his irrational goals. I'm NOT so certain he is sleeping well as his legacy of 'the worst president in the history of America' will always haunt him, now and forever.

3. I asked in another thread, isn't there some way the community
can help track returnees? To help make sure they get what they need and to help support them and their families during the re-integration? Like, a community group that gets a list of folks coming home and checks in with them and helps them fight these motherfuckers.

Because it's much harder to be dumped if there are WITNESSES making a circle around you.:mad::mad:

6. My Town Had Such A Group
for Vietnam veterans through most of the 70's and 80's. It was called:
COVER (COMMUNITY OUTREACH VIETNAM ERA RETURNEES).
Mostly privately funded, it was created/managed by one very
dedicated woman who, I believe, got started by helping
her own husband "return". I have a good friend at work who
wouldn't have made it with their help although he still
suffers from the after effects.

I think about the Tom Cruise character in "Born on the 4th of July"
and wonder how many of the thousands of injured will go down
that same road. The casualties of this war will continue to die,
slow motion deaths, for the next 50 years.

12. I know. I wonder what the mechanism was that helped COVER
Edited on Tue Apr-10-07 10:55 AM by sfexpat2000
make the first contact -- how did they know who was coming home? Maybe saigon68 would know.

There would be definite advantages for localities cities and townships to have groups like that as DOD and the VA are determined to withhold care from as many vets as they can. The expense falls on the local governments, right?

/oops

It is going to be the Agent Orange with a multiplier of thousands and will affect many generations to come. Use your voice now to address this. Support the Vets that are speaking out on this. Please. Dennis Kyne is who you need to talk to. Get ahead of the curve this time on behalf of our soldiers.

Start screaming and yelling now!

Thanks for all you do.
