July 26 (Bloomberg) -- Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates and police Sergeant James Crowley will probably join President Barack Obama for a beer within the next several days, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said.

6. Dobbs strikes me as a Kahlua addict.
Probably don't know shit about beers. That of course would not keep him from exploiting the meeting from this angle.

11. My president is a better person than me - I said that pre-election
and I feel the same post election. He has the ability to do the necessary to move things forward and put aside what is objectionable or what has justifiably pissed him off in order to channel what has gotten people fired up into something positive. I absolutely admire his skill at doing so - I have watched him repeatedly do this, not a one off deal for convenience. It is just who he is and how he operates. And I think it gets him far better results in difficult, hard to resolve situations.

Might sound corny from an older person, but I still sometimes say, when I am riled up and all Irish about someone acting like a jerk or a bad situation, "okay, how would Mr. Obama turn this around and better still, move forward instead of being stuck in a pissed off mode?" It is something that requires a lot of practice:)
