I've got a wingnut on a different message board trying to sell the Fair Tax....
Gotta wonder how well that would work paying 30% more for goods and services, especially in economic recessions and depressions....

They want people to be scared by a high tax rate, and have them demand a rate cut (reducing Govt revenue)

its just batwing crazy. Europe has VAT (value added tax) but it has limits.
