Sen. nit wit Grassley hasn't made his mind up about Sotomayor

so he said on Wash. Journal this a.m. he said he is waiting for the hearings to end and his reading of the transcripts.

he then went on to tell us why Sotomayor should'nt be on the S.C.

and he also told us why he is for forced pregnancies.

why do they keep electing him to the Senate? the man is a nit wit.

1. Last time he had token opposition
Next time, I suspect that he will be opposed by a stronger candidate unless he retires.

2. Iowa has a tradition it seems
of splitting the Senate and keeping one tightwad Republican, who on occasion would actually perform some public service by being a watchdog (checkout Bourke Hickenlooper, or H.R. Gross in the House). That was Grassley's role, and once-upon-a-time that's what he did well enough to keep getting comfortably re-elected. In the past couple of decades though he's gotten nuttier and gets pushed farther that direction by RRepubs in the primaries, the ones who are truly nutty (think Steve King), think he is too far to the left(!), and have tremendous power at that level.

Last fall I still didn't think he could be beaten in 2010. Now I'd give him even odds. Keep talking Chuck, and don't forget to twitter.

3. He's fixated on the "Latina woman" statement. Not sure if
it's because it's all he is able to comprehend or if he's too lazy to actually delve into her rulings. OR the right decided to just hammer away all day about the Latina comment. I don't think that's working. I believe they've overplayed their hand.

4. Another old, white male supporting forced birth...
...and against any aid to the baby once it goes beyond fetus.

What an asshole.
