yikes.. is Morning Joe turning left?
refreshing this morning. Joe trashing McCain about his remarks about O and Iran. "what was he thinking?" Also said
that the people of SC should be worried about Lindsey Graham "nothing but McCain's shadow."

Great to hear him half-way supporting the President...

7. did anyone catch that "pearl necklace" line?
They were picking on Gibbs' college earring, and then Willie and Chuck T admitted to also sporting them, and then Barnacle, not knowing what he was saying, cracked "but it wasn't just the earring, he also had a pearl necklace" and everyone kind of lost it and they went to commercial. It was pretty funny.

HELP! I'M ENJOYING MORNING JOE!

It's a calculation to sell books, the repackaged "anger management" Joe. He has decided that he is going to criticize Obama on domestic policy but not foreign policy (though of course, he harps on his pro-torture position for hours) in an effort to seem restrained. But Joe HAS been criticizing Obama's foreign policy ideas for a couple of years. And I don't buy Joe's "outrage" at McCain's quote from yesterday, I've heard worse from other people on Joe's show with no reaction from Joe or Mika, and worse from Joe himself. I think that it's just an attempt to reach MSNBC's "liberal audience", etc, it will change once Joe goes out of book promotion mode in a couple of months.

Mika interviewed Joe. LOL! I'll be that was hard-hitting.

23. she is annoyingly pathetic. intellectually lazy. and the worst thing
a woman can be..."a chatterer". Nothing to say but just idle chatter. I can see why she is so afraid of her dad. He probably thinks 'man, can't believe I have such an idiot daughter."

16. Morning Joe is not turning anything.
He's a right-wing assclown, even at those rare moments when he's fed his scripts by actual journalists capable of analysis. We can probably write this instance off, though, as a bid for GOP party unity.

20. Morning Joe Reasonable Rage Response
 Joe talks about Republican idiocy.

:eyes: Joe tries to define conservatism, but is woefully mistaken or fundamentally uninformed.

:grr: Joe talks about the CIA/torture/the virtues of Dick Cheney.

 Joe references "The Last Best Hope", which is clearly how he sees himself after months of people saying: "Joe, YOU should lead the Republican Party."

But no, Morning Joe was originally fairly balanced, but has shifted far right as Mika morphed into Joe's doting TV wife, and Barnacle's personal connection to large banks has kept him from criticizing financial institutions.

22. I doubt he's turning left and he still hits Obama on economic things. But,...
Edited on Wed Jun-24-09 08:03 AM by Mike Daniels
Joe has definitely been totally behind Obama's treatment/reaction to the Iran situation.

On the other hand, it's not like he's alone on this. Kissinger and Buchanan have been pretty supportive of Obama's treatment of the situation and regardless of what one thinks of their political view they aren't intellectual pgymies.

It's the idiots trying to make political points on this that have pretty much been calling Obama weak/timid on this issue.
